🔄 Officiating Re-accreditation
Each Table Tennis Australia (TTA) officiating qualification is valid for three (3) years. To maintain your accreditation, you are required to re-accredit before expiry.
What is Re-accreditation and Updating?
When first accredited, TTA provides you with a certificate showing your accreditation expiry date. After three years, re-accreditation is required to continue officiating. To re-accredit, you must complete certain activities outlined in the re-accreditation requirements during your 3-year period.
During this time, officials are expected to keep records of their officiating practice and education using the downloadable Officiating Activity Sheets below.
Updating keeps officials informed about current techniques and methods to ensure all registered officials remain active and up-to-date.
Re-accreditation Requirements
To be re-accredited, a TTA Official must fulfill minimum requirements of Officiating Practice and Officiating Education within the 3-year period.
Note: All TTA Officials must have a current Working with Children Check (WWCC). Re-accreditations are processed on Fridays.
For International Umpires/Referees, as long as you remain active as per the ITTF International Umpire/Referee registry, you will not need to re-accredit with TTA.

Supplementary Online Assessment
In circumstances where you do not have the requisite Officiating Practice Tournaments for your level, you may opt to complete an Online Assessment to supplement this. This ensures you possess the minimum competencies required for the level you are seeking reaccredition for and you are up to date with rule changes.
This also applies to International accreditations (who must also achieve 85%).

Re-entry for Inactive Officials
Different re-entry scenarios for Inactive Officials depends on the length of your inactiveness:
- If your accreditation has expired within 12 months (Community, State or National): Submit your application for re-accreditation as long as you have fulfilled the minimum requirements.
- If your accreditation has expired for more than 12 months (Community, State or National): You must seek a support letter from your State Director of Officiating and complete an online assessment that will ensure you are up to date with rule changes.
- If your accreditation has expired (International) but you have been active locally: If you have been active within TTA and have fulfilled the requirements as if you were a National official, you may re-accredit as 'International'. Note: active ITTF International Officials will be regarded as 'International - ITTF Active'. You will regain 'International - ITTF Active' if you meet the ITTF requirements.
- If your accreditation has expired (International) but have been inactive locally: You must apply to the TTA Umpires & Referees Committee (TTA URC) and complete an online assessment that will ensure you are up to date with rule changes. Upon passing, you may re-accredit as 'International'. Note: active ITTF International Officials will be regarded as 'International - ITTF Active'. You will regain 'International - ITTF Active' if you meet the ITTF requirements.
